25 Jun – ClearVR adds RTMP Support for Live Streaming
ClearVR Cloud Live recently added support for live RTMP input, in addition to the HLS Push and Pull that ClearVR Cloud already understood.
This means that popular cameras like the Kandao QooCam 8K and the Insta360 Pro 2 can now contribute their 8K feeds directly into ClearVR Cloud. This greatly simplifies production with these cameras and makes ClearVR Cloud a more complete solution for producers of live events.
The nice and small QooCam 8K Enterprise allows for extremely mobile productions, especially when using a 5G uplink. Just punch the upload RTMP address into the camera’s interface, set the proper upload bitrate, and off you go. In no time you’ll be doing a completely mobile and wireless 8K production anywhere you want, with ClearVR supporting the live streaming in the full camera resolution to your viewers.
We tested RTMP support in several geographies, including European countries and Asia. Following successful completion of these tests, we have now deployed it on ClearVR Cloud instances worldwide.
