Frits Klok
Founder & CEOFrits is responsible for the strategic course and the operational day-to-day running of Tiledmedia. He is an experienced operational and change manager with a background in the media and networking industry.
Tiledmedia is his second start up; Frits founded a start-up in the satellite space in Sydney in the mid 00’s.
Ray van Brandenburg
Founder & CTORay is responsible for the overall technology direction and architecture of our tiled streaming products. In addition, he leads the development of our core client technology, which the basis of all our client-side SDKs.
Before founding Tiledmedia, he developed world’s first Tiled Streaming solution back in 2010. Ray is active in the standardization of different media technologies, with several IETF RFCs on CDN technology, adaptive streaming and media synchronization on his name, and actively contributing to MPEG standards. Ray holds over 30 patents.
Arjen Veenhuizen
Founder & COOArjen runs Tiledmedia’s operations, is responsible for the design and implementation of the cross-platform client software development kits. Furthermore, he manages Tiledmedia’s employees.
Before founding Tiledmedia, he was a key member of the team that developed TNO’s Tiled Streaming technology, and he is a skilled expert in heterogeneous media synchronization. He was the architect and main developer of the “NUlive” live streaming platform, which he created together with Ray. Arjen loves interacting with his colleagues and customers.
Rob Koenen
Founder & CBORob is a media research manager with 30 years of experience and many national and international leadership positions. He has a huge network in the media industry, which he uses for Tiledmedia business development.
After co-founding the VR Industry Forum, he became the Forum’s first President. Rob guided the market adoption of MPEG/ITU AVC as Founder and President of the MPEG Industry Forum. He initiated and has guided the work on MPEG-I, the standard for Immersive Media in MPEG.
Randolf Nijsse
CIORandolf is Tiledmedia’s Chief Investment Officer: a deal maker and investment expert with a telecommunications background. With 25+ years of experience in the mobile, fixed and satellite communication industries,
Randolf is active in the fields of corporate development, corporate strategy, M&A, financial advisory, and equity & debt financing.
Lukasz Kubala
Global Sales DirectorLukasz brings extensive experience in enterprise sales and strategic partnerships. With a strong customer-centric approach, he drives market expansion and secures key partnerships that align with Tiledmedia’s goals.
His ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions makes him a vital part of our business development team.
Marius van Eck
Software EngineerWith his background in mathematical sciences and specifically quantum mechanics and quantum crypto, Marius works on Tiledmedia’s tiled encoding tools and platforms.
Dr. Xavier Corbillon
Projection and Algorithm ExpertXavier is our expert on VR projection and streaming methods; his doctoral thesis was on those very subjects. At Tiledmedia he devises and improves the algorithms we use to encode, package and stream high quality VR as well as multiview content. His GPU coding skills are legendary.
Sophia Smit
Office ManagerSophia is our Office Manager, creating order in the chaos of our ever-growing office and work force, and doing much more than just office management.
Tse-Kang (Stan) Shen
Software EngineerStan is our all-round software developer. He currently focuses on bringing our tiled streaming tech to PC-based platforms. He also coordinates our weekly testing spree.
Glenn van der Meer
General Manager Greater ChinaGlenn is our Chinese-speaking business development manager for Greater China, the land of endless VR possibilities. When he is not travelling across China in airplanes or high speed trains, he lives in Hangzhou where Tiledmedia's Chinese office is located.
Mees van den Bosch
Software EngineerMees studied programming and game design at the Breda University of Applied Sciences. He develops tiled streaming client-side and UX technology and demo applications, for various mobile devices and headsets.
Dr. Sergio González
Software EngineerSergio González Fernández has a Ph.D. in high-energy physics, which he earned at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He shares his hardcore math background with Marius and Xavier. At Tiledmedia, he puts his math knowledge and software engineering experience to good use as a Software Engineer, solving hard problems.
Yitong Tao
Backend EngineerOriginally from Beijing, Yitong studied Electrical Engineering in Delft. She works on Tiledmedia's backend for tiled streaming services.
Gaetano Robles
Software EngineerGaetano studies software engineering at Hogeschool Rotterdam. At Tiledmedia, he is involved in unity developing and supports the development team on a variety of tasks.
Thomas Keller
Software EngineerThomas studies Software Engineering at Hogeschool Rotterdam. He also works at Tiledmedia on software versioning and Analytics reporting.
Simão Soares
Software EngineerSimão completed his Master's in Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. At Tiledmedia he currently works on Unity Development for mobile platforms and VR headsets.

Software EngineerAndrea has a background in Computer Engineering. At Tiledmedia, he does everything Web, including our web player SDK and the web-based Cockpit transcoder UI.

Quality Assurance EngineerWith university degrees in Building Construction Technology and Computer Science, Bogdan has a black belt in testing applications across various platforms. At Tiledmedia, he ensures that the quality of our SDKs meets & exceeds our customer's expectations.

Software EngineerAfter studying Computer Science at Delft University of Technology, Kyon joined Tiledmedia as a software engineer working on several parts of our player stack.
Noë Morel
SW Development InternNoë studies Data Science at Centrale Nantes. His work includes improving the analytics reporting in our player and optimising buffer management for adaptive bitrate streaming.
Lucas Allègre
