Ad Nauseam - The Cure
Back to Basics, Done Right!
Last week, we diagnosed the ad nauseam – the ad chaos frustrating viewers everywhere. This week, we reveal the secret ingredient that keeps your audience coming back for more. The right ad experience hooks viewers without turning them off. Here, we explore how Tiledmedia keeps your viewers engaged and how your monetization potential scales straight from the player up.
The Player you’ve been missing
We believe that for many streaming services, the video player SDK is the missing puzzle piece keeping them from delivering truly dynamic ads. Tiledmedia’s versatile Player slots into all the current ad-insertion systems, fixing basic functionalities (no time jumps, buffering, etc.), that are critical to keep viewers engaged. If any bug occurs during ad-insertion, Tiledmedia’s control over its Video Player stack is a huge help with finding and dealing with the issue. Because we wrote the Player code base ourselves, we can fix issues that are unfixable in video player stacks, whether platform-specific (such as Android Exoplayer or Apple AVPlayer), or open-source-based. We also ensure that ads in all types of formats look nice on screens of varying sizes, we understand that flexibility is key in this area.
Making informed moves
Second, the accuracy of OTT and CTV ad-serving analytics still has room for improvement, inaccurate data decreases the effectiveness of current ad campaigns and hampers the ad-insertion systems that are self-learning. Tiledmedia’s extensive control over the video player stack means we get the most accurate user data across devices and platforms, and third-party analytics platform integrations are easy. This way, streaming services can confidently implement automation and self-learning systems to their ad-insertion operations, because the ad-serving data that is being fed back using the Tiledmedia Player is highly dependable and granular.
Adding innovation
Third, with our Video Player, streaming platforms can quickly implement innovative ways of ad serving across devices and platforms, making them more interactive, less intrusive and more effective. Imagine an ad window popping up as a picture-in-picture (PiP), nudging viewers to drag the PiP to another corner across the screen to participate in a lucky draw, all while the game or concert continues streaming without a hitch. Or placing the ad side-by-side with the main feed, perfectly aligned with the content. It could even be integrated directly into Multiview setups, or show up as a light, non-intrusive product hover – natural, subtle, and never in the way.
The flexibility of our Player, supporting both server-side and client-side ad insertions, enables new ways of advertising that are out of the box, engaging and highly personalized.
We are eager to demonstrate the benefits of using the Tiledmedia Player for ad-insertion, and we invite all potential partners and customers to get in touch. Whether you want to exchange ideas or arrange a test, we’d love to hear from you – reach out at [email protected].
